Testing out Facebook Rooms
I tried out Facebook (FB)rooms, you may have noticed a fairly recent feature on FB no doubt an attempt to respond to COVID 19 and the rise of zooming.
It was one of those moments when ‘I cast fate to the wind’ and just put up a post I may usually shy away from, it read, “ Anyone fancy a chat?” and I put the link underneath. I waited and no one came. I decided I would send out a few invites but still, no one came. To be fair I only kept it open for 15 minutes. I then started video calling, Spain, New York, Ireland I was ‘gone with the wind’. And no one picked up. Well two people seemed to but I couldn’t hear them, later I wondered did I have my volume on zero!
If I saw the same post it would truly depend on my mood whether I would join.
One friend did call me on my mobile (one of the people I couldn't hear) but I was too busy ‘Going with the wind’ I never noticed the call.
Not all is lost as all those folks will have a message saying they missed my call or the invite and in that, they will know I was thinking of them.
