Who says art is a waste of time?
I have noticed that St Albans is growing with Art Galleries. I have noticed but had not ventured in out of some sense of not being the right sort of person to enter in or maybe I had a fear of being sold to!
I saw a flyer in the old Town Hall it read,
INSTRUCTIONS TO AN ARTIST
HOW TO WASTE TIME EFFECTIVELY
New work by Iza Nez
A reading by Iza Nez will take place at
Collective Gallery, 18 Holywell Hill

The reading will be followed by a group discussion
Everyone welcome
The reading attracted me. I like to hear what something means to another. It helps me connect particularly if it is something that I don't easily connect with.
I liked that everyone was welcome.
That got me through the door. We huddled as a group of maybe 10 in the studio.
What happened next totally surprised me. Iza illustrated how to waste time effectively by spelling out every letter in her answer which is in the above photo. It was tedious but she proved her point.
The greater point she proved was to those who say Art is a waste of time.
