Wherever you are we are united by the day we are now in!

At this time of year, I am usually looking forward to a summer trip. This time last year we were preparing for our trip to New York City (NYC). Since our return from NYC, I have been living differently.

I have been going on about living in the moment and taking one day at a time for a few years now though the NYC trip somehow captured a transition.

I had some time today to read some stories by fellow Medium writers and came across one about Life time lists. I was never good at answering that interview question what will you be doing in five years time. I have known too much of life to know it is not my call and any answer is only a projection into 365 x 5 + 1 extra day for leap year, 2 extra if the five year period falls within 2 leap years ( no I am not serious about figures just humouring you and me).

I get the need to have plans and goals but I am not so absorbed by them that they take me away from today. I don’t feel restless to get away this year strangely I feel content in the day I am now in. It does not matter where I am in the world the greatest thing is to live in the day that I have been given. Each new day stands before me as an open window for me to walk into.

Wherever I am in this world I am breathing its air, I am sheltered by its sky and put asleep by its night. Each step I take is upheld by the earth beneath me. I am one with this day, I am one with this world and I am united with every living creature upon it by our dependency on it.

Best day,

g.

Should we make this more interesting? If you like take a photo of a nearby scene and insert in your response.
