When does the Zeitgeist become old?

“I wonder whether all the clapping for the NHS hides something.”

It is like listening to slow radio being part of an online Quaker meeting. There is quiet yet every so often like a pull on a fisherman’s rod something comes through.

The voice was pondering whether in our new ritual it was hiding the questions about the readiness of the NHS to deal with a pandemic and Government will.

My own mind was wondering when does the Zeitgeist become ‘old’. Most things start off as original, authentic though a moment comes when the moment is over or possibly it needs to move into another.

For me, the moment is gone when it becomes ‘an expected’. It is never quite clear when this has happened and perhaps it happens at different times for all of us.

Best day,
