Last month as an Interfaith group born from the Elijah Institute Summer School 2020 we looked at Resonance (thoughts below).

This month Jane one of our number with the encouragement of Murray decided to use Haiku as a creative way to bring it further alive in us.

The formula is 5 syllables then 7 then 5. Jane was very patient as I asked for examples, for it to be counted out, nervous that I did not understand.

Well I was surprised with what came

The bird hooted

Into my ear came the sound

I hooted twit to woo

The beat of the drum

reverberates within me

until I am one

Murray said the word

into my consciousness came

it is the distance

Jane went further and got us to close our eyes and draw, see the featured photo.

It was so much fun I was energised at the end.
