The Gathering, Day Six
Tuesday 20th August 2024
Hi Chai,
I wrote some more on Monday that I didn't include in Monday’s letter.
As I listened to the talk this morning I saw something about ‘contradiction’.
“But thought has no place whatsoever in the psychological structure of man. When it does the confusion begins, then contradiction and all the struggles, the images about you and another — all the rest of it follows.”
So the ‘I’ is violent, the ‘I’ is hurt the ‘I’ is everything. There is no contradiction when I see that ‘I’ is the common factor.
When I recall my experience of finding unity in all things was I aware of ‘I’? No, I was aware of a unity of all things with nothing separate.
We live life, we don't live separate days, life is whole.

Hi Chai,
In the dialogue group last night we became reflective of the teachings. Is it another system that replaced the ones that have gone before? Many of us are trying to live better lives when as someone reminded us ‘we are’. I was left wondering whether when we read or listen to the teaching, we hope something speaks to something other than the intellect.
The last quote in a recent publication reads,
“If you seek the highest,
you will not find it,
it may come to you
if you are lucky — and
luck is the open window
of your heart.”
