Morning Chai,

Well for me the dialogue group took another form yesterday. Some were not happy with the silence of the day before. I was questioned for moving the subject from one subject to another. We were asking what we do when we feel violent even at the lower end. I was honest when asked, to say I did feel ‘reprimanded’ when someone questioned my question, and yes earlier I felt annoyed at another’s silence the previous day. But as we are being open about it I see a difficulty. We recognise that we are violent but also we do not want to give life to the ego each time or anytime that it is triggered so what to do?

We then moved to racism and feeling as I was if we are violent we are also racist. The clarity for me is that we can’t put it out there unto others, we have to own all these things. I then felt uncomfortable. Is it easier to say “We are one thing” but not so easy to say “We are another ”

I was left wondering whether such a level of honesty should be encouraged. There is a freeing but also the contradiction of feeling uncomfortable with what is shared.”
