The birth of a baby brings not only adoration
In Matthew chapter 2 verse 1, we read of the wise men enquiring at the palace of Herod, where they may find the newborn king.
If I were one of them, I might have said,
“Hello, we are here to welcome the new baby to the planet.”
I recall when Tee was born, people wanted to come and see her. I have a clear remembrance of those friends, colleagues and family who came.
They were coming to see what was hidden now revealed.
The wise men heard through a star, the wise people I knew heard from me. They knew something of the journey as for nine months we were on it.
I find my mind wandering as if I were a wise man whose journey started nine months before I got to see the child.
I begin to see a wise men’s journey of a difference. Theirs was over physical terrain mine was over an interior terrain.
The seed grew, I followed. As I followed I too was growing.
Today I speak a lot about being in the moment yet it was most likely during that time, when I feared the future, that I would have to learn, the only way through was one breath, one moment, one day.
I am brought back further for as a child unconsciously the message of one breath, one moment, one day was forming itself. I recall thinking that at the age of eighteen everything would be different. It was different, as is every day, but not as I had envisaged. I had yet to lose a sense of a future making everything better.
The more I sit and ponder the more I see that this may be my life’s work, living by the breath. Incidents, periods of life flood my mind. I see it was that message I was being taught.
A pregnancy comes to an end when the baby arrives yet a new life also begins.
