St Patrick’s Day still causes me to reflect on how I relate to it. On some occasions, such as these four, I have written them down.

Happy St Patrick’s Day, particularly to people at home. It is a day for me to remember all the people who have blessed my life from the Emerald Isle.

I was thinking the three leaves of the Shamrock could symbolize the diversity of Irishness—those who see themselves as the True Irish, those who see themselves as Irish with a British mix, and those who fit neither leaf and create a new type of Irishness. Three types, but all are Irish.

Have a wee listen to this, a song, a man, and a story that was around when I was a child.
