Scraps of paper which hold words of meaning

I, like many during this lockdown, have been trying to tidy up those things that have required tidying for some time. I came across scraps of paper in which I have written something that I think is worth remembering. I also had bought an album some time ago which I had barely filled. I decided to write the words I wanted to keep in the album. Here are the two I wrote in it yesterday.

The top one is mine own although I can’t remember specifically writing it. I recognise myself as if it were an old photo. I like what I wrote even as I stand back from it for it remains a truth.

The one above is from a Mary Oliver poem. I love how it involves me in trying to find an answer before I get to the end.

Best day,
