Nature doesn't stop growing wherever it may be, nor should we!

I was returning from the cafe this morning when I saw the above and then took a photo. You may wonder why? Well, a few years a neighbouring freeholder wanted to knock down garages and build flats. We opposed his application and successfully blocked it. Within weeks of the decision, he inserted the posts you can see in the photo to prevent us from parking in what is shared land.

I recall arriving home from holiday and seeing these posts. I was furious. It felt the posts were stabbed inside my head. We raised it with councillors and the local council and everyone seemed powerless to do anything. A legal challenge would have cost and as no one was prepared to pay he got away with it.

It must be 4 years ago it happened and I have gotten used to them. This morning I smiled as nature cannot be stopped and grows regardless of the posts. That image speaks to me that whatever comes against us we continue to grow even if it means integrating the very thing that offends us.
