Love, I have learned, is what I need and it carries me!

I just read what I wrote last night as I took what it said and went into the day.

You have need of nothing else but to know, “ I love you.”

Really? Yes really. And yes I found myself in a situation where fear was knocking at my door but I remembered the words of last night and I responded by saying,

“Perfect love casts out all fear.”

The person looked bemused and replied that they didn’t understand what that meant, I translated. The biggest difference it made was to me. I don’t know whether it made a difference to the other but it made a difference to me. Fear often generates anxiety in me and with that can come a sharpness. Of course when most feel the edge that becomes the issue and not the issue. By merely speaking the words out I was casting out the fear. I had used the quote mentally as I drove and it was inwardly keeping me calm.

I had also read an extract from A Course In Miracles which always reminds me to see beyond the illusions that fear often sees. You see we can overreact emotionally to something, usually the fear that is generated by what we hear, and in so doing give the fear a power that it doesn’t have. Fear seeks to use others usually ‘normal looking people’ to generate itself. But here’s the thing we have a choice whether we believe love is greater than fear. If we believe love is greater we will grab what is being said and smother it with love. What is true is real what is untrue is unreal.

Later in the day I was responding to a text and found myself saying I was slow to respond because I was burdened by a number of things. As soon I wrote the word I heard the verse, “Cast your burdens unto Eashoa for he careth for you.” “Yes,” I thought, “why am I carrying burdens when Eashoa said he was happy too?” So mentally I cast them on him.

I have a day to live so I can’t be burdened by Yesterday and Tomorrow they can take care of themselves.

Love, I have learned, is what I need and it carries me!
