Let your feet speak!
In McDonald’s this morning I wrote in my pad,“I can do but I need rest periods to charge up the mind and whatever else.”
They say, “You are what you eat” it may also be true to say “You are what you read.” The reason I say this is I had been reading an article as featured in the photo the other day. It confirmed a belief that I try to practice which is work 7 hours 24 minutes a day, not 24/7.
The further I travel in this life the more I believe in waiting for the space to become available rather than trying to rush everything. I have a 17-year-old who reminds me what I once was.
I hear the voice of my old friend in the woods or rather his story teller who uses the phrase ‘ There is barrenness in busyness’.
This year my feet have been talking to me, when I am rushing I hear them say, “ G you are going too fast we are not comfortable” I then slow down and go at a pace that feels comfortable.
After I had finished my coffee I headed to the Meeting House. I felt at peace this morning as we sat in silence. A friend rose and began to speak about turning points in his life, “Where they endings and beginnings or just turnings?” He continued speaking about abandonment as not without hope actually to abandon something could be positive. The theme continued with the endings of relationships, friendships though these could actually create a newness to living although perhaps not without pain.
Then someone said it, “We live in the pause”. For me the pause is the resting stage after an activity and before another begins or as someone else said the gaps between the music.
