It’s not the weather I am checking

It is 10 minutes to 7 in the morning. I will turn the news on at 7. Just to make sure I am in touch with what’s going on. The mind is now seeking new news and whether somehow overnight a decision has been made that we all stay at home.

You know that mind you have when it is Christmas day? Like everything is different today. I had that mind when I awoke this morning.

I looked out front and back windows assessing whether the normal traffic is moving. It is light at 6 so that it unusual from the darkness a week or two ago. I can see traffic moving to the M25 from where I live and it seems much slower. I haven’t seen yet a red 84 bus nor Uno bus.

My awakening moments can be the most isolated. There the word isolate appears. Has this time brought the word ‘isolate’ to the fore?

The news is now on. It seems it is business, as usual, I will continue my routine.

Best,

g
