Re story: “Charlie from downstairs is here we have a leak and it is going into his flat.”

The second plumber arrived. Once he saw under the sink he exclaimed, “How did he leave it like that?” I was reassured that I wasn’t imagining things. (I do wonder the reason for this default position in me that if I don't know enough about something I doubt myself?)

He then said that a piece of piping required changing. Again, my mind thinks, “O no, a major job.” No, it is not a major job, and he can do it there and then. ( My mind thinks the worst in these situations. Again, where does that come from?) While that may be the mind the impact is on the emotions which are running around like characters from Inside Out. ( This is a great movie for understanding emotions). It is as if a fire alarm has gone off inside me and the emotions are seeking safety.

This plumber is thorough and waits five minutes to see what happens. Once satisfied I am bidding him farewell. Once again I am testing and once again a container is underneath until my confidence is restored. The good news, it is holding.
