It is a risk to be vulnerable but it may well produce something better

The other day I deliberately chose to be vulnerable. I shared extracts from my writings here with another. The other doesn’t really know me but I felt for them to understand some of my feelings at this current time it was better to be vulnerable that just perhaps make noise.

What I mean is that I can often raise an issue that may sound like just an objection and depending on who is hearing it they may become defensive or dismissive. I wanted to reveal the heart of where the objection came. It had a greater effect on them than I anticipated. I think my vulnerability touched theirs. The outcome I experienced was two humans connecting and sharing the feeling.

In a sense, the objection fell away as the connection was of the heart.
