Is it better to do things as you see the need rather than wait?

I have this thing about doing things as I see them. Some fluff on the floor, pick it up and deposit it in the bin. Breakfast finished, wash the bowl. This may well be how you are but it hasn’t been my Modus Operandi (MO). So what has brought it about? I am not sure, T just leaves everything where she drops it. It kind of makes me wonder was I like that 30 years ago? Does it really take the best part of 50 years for me to learn that it is better to do things as you see the need rather than wait?

I am working with that my mindset that occurs when you have decorators coming and you need to box most things up. You come across things usually of the paper sort that you think, “ That can go.”

I keep so many pieces of papers. I keep the cardboard packaging to write on particularly if I find a great quote or if I am prepping for a zoom discussion.

If I see a photo in the paper that catches my eye I tear it out intending to use it in one of my homemade cards. I keep the quotes from an old calendar in a flower vase, take your pick. Once used wrapping paper that could be used gets put aside. I can’t throw away newspapers until I satisfy myself that I have read as much as I will ever read and that can take a year.

But something is stirred as I as operate as if the decorators are coming or even as someone is going to have to sort all this stuff when I leave the planet.

Best day,
