How often do I operate from love rather than fear?

I am in the cafe with my tea and toast before setting off for a Suffolk town.

I noticed my brain yet again sees more than there is. After the handyman resealed the bath, some debris remained. It was doing what it does, exaggerating the mess. It took no more than 10 minutes to sweep, wash down, and restore.

In the passage that we are contemplating, Luke 36–49, I stayed with verses 36, 37 and 38

“While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’

They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.

He said to them, ‘Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?”

Now I am going off topic; nonetheless, I see in these verses other humans who see something, but it troubles them, and doubts arise. So it happens to the best of us!

What is real and what they fear are two different things. I heard it said that humans operate from either fear or love. I wonder how often I operate from fear in contrast to love. I also wonder how different life would be if I operated from love even when fear is present.

I’ll catch up in the morning. I’m tired.
