Hey Cat shed that coat there’s a butterfly waiting to get out!
I am determined to write every day. I can’t think the last time I was so determined about something and do ask myself, “Why has this writing thing become so much part of my life?”
Often we hear our answers in our conversations with others and I heard myself say to a friend on the phone, “I believe writing every day is connected to living in the day. Every day is unique and I believe there is something in each day to write about.”
I am saying this as time seems to have passed me today and I am struggling to find the space to write. The body has also decided to sleep. (The truth is I am writing this today as if it is yesterday. It has taken me until 16 49 London time 22.8.17 to write about yesterday.)
Perhaps my obsessive side is telling me, “Gordie you got to keep doing it now that you have started.” I am not sure what is urging me though whatever it is it is telling me that I am determined about this.
I picked up a magazine the other day called Happinez
I have noticed over the last year or so that there are a few magazines appearing in our supermarkets which I would categorise Spiritual. They are usually within the Women’s section.
It was while reading Elizabeth Lesser’s article that I saw my friend the caterpillar from yesterday (that’s Sunday). We know the good old caterpillar sheds numerous coats before it become a Butterfly ( please no-one tell me it was a maggot).
It seemed to me that Elizabeth’s message ties in well with the image of a caterpillar,
“…. but you can shed more and more bad advice and unreasonable expectations of others as you go along.”
So many expectations are put on us and shackle us for a lifetime. Football may have been someone else’s big thing but that doesn’t mean it has to be ours! Shed off those expectations, everything that you thought you should have been but had no interest, inclination or aptitude in, Shed it. It was never for you in the first place. Don’t wear a coat you neither want or asked for.
Listen if we are to get to Butterfly stage we better stop shuffling in coats we were suppose to wear and move on.
Are you ready? Let’s go!!!!!
