Going deep to grow high

The other day I had an experience. It was while I was in silence with friends in Alaska. I often find myself thinking about times when I have snorkelled when I am in silence. Just as under the water there is another world so too as we step into silence there is another world.

Of course, it depends where you are snorkelling as you may only see murky water. I remember having such an experience here in Britain yet in Malta, Corfu, Turkey it was dazzling.

I usually get the sensation of going deeper. I often wonder why not higher? As I sat in the silence I felt I was going deeper and deeper as if towards the sea bed. And then I became aware I felt alone and with that, I was reminded that I am part of the water in which I swim, I am part of the silence in which I sit.

The deeper you go the higher you will grow. It is not that we don’t go high rather it is a process were to go high we first need to dig deep.

I also had this sense of absorbing pain, the pain of the other and with it, I was to take it deep within myself so deep that it no longer had power and indeed I was releasing it back out but not as pain.

Best day,

g
