First the coffee shops opened and now the bookshops

What we are waiting to reopen post-COVID 19 tells us what is important to us

Another sign that the waters are receding, Waterstones Bookshop opened this week. We all have our signs of what is moving us forward post COVID 19 so far mine has been coffee shops and now Waterstones. I hear the barbers will be opening on Saturday 4th July 2020. I can see already the queues outside them.

It is good to also see that Waterstones is focussing on the subject of the moment, dealing with the legacy of enslavement and the dismantling of racism.

A friend reminded that the Book group were reading, ‘Emma’. I got a copy for £4.99!

As I walked around town yesterday it felt like being in a fairground with staff overseeing the queues outside and ushering people in and out.

Best day,
