Breathing our emotions

Today at lunchtime I recognised that I felt empty. It was a content emptiness as if nothing mattered. At that moment the thought came ‘If I could be an empty vessel perhaps that is the way to be’. Maybe getting filled with so many emotions creates issues that emptiness doesn't.

Let emotions come and go. The lungs must be empty to be filled, so maybe our whole being.

Sarah comes to mind. When she loves me physically it is happening it comes in and it goes until it comes again. The heart stores memories, emotions need to ventilate.

I don’t allow myself to let the emotions come in and go out. If they are difficult emotions they should be released. Why harbour them? Similarly, good feelings must be released to let more in and out.
