Are those words speaking to me?

Do calendars speak? Do words speak? You are either with me or against me on this one. I am a bit of a believer that quotes that come our way can speak to us. I can specifically recall a road trip to Germany 18 years ago which I found difficult. The road trip was just additional pressure I was already struggling with some obsession. I used a restroom / toilet and in it there was a quote of a day. I can’t recall it specifically though it was themed around pushing through against adversity (maybe it was intended for those suffering constipation). A few words randomly displayed were enough to strengthen me.

So this summer as I keep saying has been different, there has been no big ‘going away’. The biggest surprise for me, as I may have said before, is I am not itching to get away. Yes, it is true France pops into my mind though in an ‘if it happens it happens kinda way’.

I think it must be something to do with ‘living the day I am in’. Again this has been a reoccurring theme in my recent writings. Each day is unique and is to be lived right where we are. It doesn’t really matter where we are as where we are we are living.

So get this I turn my calendar ahead of tomorrow and September’s saying is as in the featured photo.

I then turn back to July and the saying is,

I am beginning to wonder have I been influenced by my calendar.

Being where I am has encouraged me to pay attention to where I live and do those jobs that I don’t give time to as I am always going somewhere else.

Tonight I even found myself a place to sit while the laundry was drying. I lit a candle and just sat in silence. The silence is an inner silence as the dryer makes quite some noise.

I caught myself looking through the window. The night falls earlier as we approach September and the rain was also heavily falling. The light at the doorway shone steadfast illuminating the green of the trees despite the darkness and I felt content.
