“Am I aware of my power and am I responsible in how I live out of it?”
I anticipate that in times to comes it will be forgotten that zoom evolved from our response to COVID 19. It will be so much part of lives that those of us who were hesitant in using it before COVID 19 will recall it didn’t always seem so obvious.
It probably is now eclipsing COVID 19 as it becomes a ‘holding space’ as tension continues in the US. This tension is being felt here in the UK as Britain has to deal with its role in the enslavement of Black people.
The questions I am hearing to myself are, “Am I aware of my power and I am responsible in how I live out of it?”
As I sit in Friends zoom meetings here in England and Pennslyvania I am learning that others are hearing these questions.
The holding spaces that zoom meetings are facilitating are providing potential places of transformation as we allow the Spirit of God to be with us and bring to light the dark places of our lives.
I was reminded as one friend spoke that the deeper we go the more we lose of our constructed identities. Quoting from the book of Galatians,
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
As we find ourselves in the deepest place we find ourselves at one with all for we are one and all.
Best day,
